Daniel Romanelli’s, M.D., FAAOS education, and experience have allowed him to become very knowledgeable in his field and practice. He brings this competence and expertise in performing state of the art advanced Orthopaedic sports medicine procedures. Dr. Romanelli began his education at UCLA, where he earned a bachelor’s degree before attending New York Medical College to gain his medical degree. Dr. Romanelli completed his fellowship training at Sports Medicine and Arthroscopic Surgery in Los Angeles, CA. Dr. Romanelli is board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine.

    • Been in private practice for over 20 years. 
    • Clinical assistant professor UTRGV school of medicine.
    • Dr. Romanelli served as one of the Traveling Team Physicians for the U.S National Soccer team from 2002-2013. 
    • He served as the New Mexico delegate for American Orthopaedic Society of Sports Medicine (AOSSM) (2014-2020)
    • Dr. Romanelli served as an orthopaedi cconsultant for NMSU Athletics and Las Cruces area high schools (2004-2020). 
    • He also serves as a Volunteer Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedics for the University of New Mexico School of Medicine’s orthopaedic clinical rotations. 
    • From, 2016-2020, Dr. Romanelli was the Program Director of the Mountain View Orthopaedic Residency in Las Cruces, NM.
    • Additionally, he became an appointed Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery of Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine at New Mexico State University. 
    • He has acted as a Forensic Orthopaedic Expert witness in the state of New Mexico over the last six years.
    • He has also been an IME provider over the previous 8 years.
